Product
What does cdot do?
cdot keeps your controlled documents such as SOPs, policies and work instructions current and compliant. It captures external and internal changes, shows which documents and passages they affect, and drafts compliant updates for your experts to review.
Which documents does cdot work with?
Controlled documents of all kinds: SOPs, policies, work instructions, forms and similar procedural documents, in the language and style your organization already uses.
How does cdot learn about changes?
Internal changes such as CAPAs, audit findings, organizational or process changes are submitted by your teams directly in cdot or come in from your QMS. New external requirements such as legislation, technical standards and authority guidance can be submitted the same way, or fed in automatically through the regulatory monitoring of our partner Codara.
Does cdot change documents on its own?
No. cdot prepares impact analyses and redlined drafts. Your process owners review and approve every change, and nothing is published without human sign-off. Every change stays linked to its trigger for a complete audit trail.
Data & security
Where is my data hosted?
Your data is hosted and processed exclusively in the EU. We are happy to walk you through the setup and our technical and organizational measures in detail.
Is cdot certified?
We are currently preparing for ISO 27001 certification. Our information security processes are already aligned with the standard today.
Are my documents used to train AI models?
No. Your documents are not used to train AI models, neither by us nor by our service providers. They are used solely to keep your own documents current.
Getting started
Can we test it with our own documents?
Yes. Book a demo and bring one of your SOPs and a recent change. We show you the impact analysis and the update draft live, and then discuss a pilot with a focused set of documents.
Does cdot work with our existing document management system?
cdot is designed to work alongside your existing DMS and QMS rather than replace them. Which integrations make sense depends on your system landscape; we clarify this together during the pilot.
How much effort does it take on our side?
Very little. To get started we need a first set of SOPs or policies and a contact person from quality or process management. Once it is running, your experts save time: they review finished drafts instead of searching documents.
Company
Who is behind cdot?
cdot GmbH is based in Vienna and led by its founders Malte Scheuvens (strategy and technology) and Lisa Katzenschlager (product and operations). Learn more about the team and our story on our About page.
What do the name cdot and the logo mean?
The name comes from the typesetting system LaTeX: the command \cdot produces a centered dot (·), the symbol that links two quantities. That is what we do: connecting the dots between external requirements, processes and your SOPs. The slash in our logo is the backslash every LaTeX command starts with.
Who do you work with?
We work with Codara for regulatory monitoring and with Fraunhofer Austria on research into world models. cdot is funded by the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) and aws (Austria Wirtschaftsservice), and additionally supported by the NVIDIA Inception program.
